Bird-proofing solar panels is an effective way to stop birds like pigeons from getting underneath and causing damage. If you do not start bird proof your solar panels then your rooves could be damaged by nesting birds. The panels could also sustain damage causing them to be inefficient or stop working completely. For every house and business that have solar panels installed, bird proofing with weld mesh and clips is essential. One of the most effective ways of bird-proofing solar panels is to use galvanised wire mesh. Galvanised wire mesh with a 12.5mm x 25mm mesh will protect panels from every type of bird species. To successfully install the solar panel bird-proofing mesh, we recommend using our solar panel clips. These special clips are made specially for bird proofing solar panels and are made from UV stabilised plastic. For best results, the clips should be used every 450mm. This ensures a tight and uniform installation. One of the key advantages is that there is no drilling required as they easy clips onto existing panels. It should be noted that these solar panel clips are only suitable for panels with a minimum 20mm return underside lip.
